Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured with the well established and much trusted National Farmers Union. And can offer you the reassurance and peace of mind of insurance up to £10,000,000.00
Do you have Food Hygiene Certification?
Yes, we are registered in line with the law with West Oxfordshire District Council Environmental Health Department, as are all of our local food wholesalers and meat providers.
Our chefs and management staff are all food hygiene certificate holders and are qualified to act as trainers too. Several also hold personal licences to sell alcohol, whilst our in house I. T. Manager is Microsoft Certified.
Can you deliver our food ready cooked?
For traditional style Pigroasts & Hogroasts we always cook fresh food on site and never pre-cook your meat.
However, we do have a special range of food “Party In A Box” that can be delivered in our special “Food-Safe” boxes ready for you to carve and serve. Please see the appropriate page on this web site.
If it rains can you cook inside a building?
Our spitroast equipment is quite safe to use both indoors and out, so cooking within a building is something we often do, especially during “Wimbledon fortnight” and in the winter months.
We also include the supply of a gazebo within the price of every booking, so we can cook under the shelter that this provides to us.
So please do keep a stiff upper lip, we are British after all.
Can I combine a Pig Roast with a BBQ?
A lot of our customers mix and match from our full range of pig roast and barbeque options, they even use our sister company “Good Events” for marquee hire, crockery, cutlery, glassware and table linens too. Can you cook for 3,000 or more?
During last summer we served 8,500 at Henley Regatta.
Additionally, were were also asked by The Buckinghamshire County Council to cater for over 2,500 guests to celebrate an event. Setting up 5 hog roasting ovens along a 1.5 mile stretch of roadway we catered for their guests during the course of the afternoon and evening. Our Big Pan Paella is something to behold and feeds so many people too!
I’ve only 20 guests can you still hogroast?
Don’t you worry we are one of the few companies that can cook a spit roast suckling pig that will serve as few as 12 guests. For 20 guests we would recommend two small suckling pigs or perhaps you would like a whole leg of pork to serve from 20 to 30 guests. Maybe a whole honey and mustard glazed Gamon joint would fit the bill.
How long will it take to cook the food ?
A whole large pig for 150 guests can take up to seven or even eight hours, which of course adds to the costs.
Using boned and rolled legs of pork we can reduce the time required by half, so just 3 ½ to 4 hours and yet still cater for 150 plus guests and with no waste either.
How much is Vegetarian & Vegan food?
It is FREE!
Yes, it is true that we include a selection of Vegetarian and/or Vegan food within every price we quote. We don’t like adding any extras or Taxes.
Can you supply a wedding cake too?
Our Annette is second to none when it comes to wedding cakes. Quite frankly her cakes are works of art and cannot be recommended highly enough.
Even better she is not expensive, so please do ask us for a quote.
And don’t forget the cupcakes as they are all the rage this year!
Can we have something a bit different?
How about our new range of iconic dishes from the USA or Tortillas from Mexico?
Love the Ribs, Skins and Tex Mex too.
Or perhaps try an Australian Barbecue, we can supply and cook, shark, ostrich and even crocodile if you would like to like it.
Go on . . . BE BRAVE!!
Or you could go all Mediterranean and make large with the jugs of Sangria, whilst we cook up a massive Lobster or two . . . YUMMY!
